Benefits of Crafting- stress management
February 12, 2010
The most common benefit of crafting that people cite is stress management. Crafts and hobbies can be very relaxing, while offering a creative outlet that many people crave. "When I first started scrapbooking I thought it was just to preserve the memories but now it is so much more," says Wendi from Leesburg, Virginia. "Scrapbooking has awakened the 'artist' in me and I have discovered that I need to be creative. That may mean scrapbooking, it could include painting, photography, or sewing. The key to my sanity - to my mental health - is to be crafty/creative." The sentiment is one that most arts and crafts enthusiasts can relate to.
Ever since I say this saying in the new Decor Elements line- I have wanted to put it on my wall. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but this is what I came up- I just attached the vinyl to the glass front on the frame- added some Designer Series paper and a ribbon. I think it turned out alright- the best part is I can change out the paper background and the ribbon as my mood changes. Which could mean several times a day around here- just ask my kids!
