I had my club meeting last night- this is a wonderful group of ladies who meet monthly to stamp, laugh and share. We have been together for years and each and everyone of us looks forward to this night. It is so much more than stampin' fun! We have mourned deaths of loved ones, celebrated babies being born, prayed for sick family members, and laughed until it hurt. I love what each of these ladies have brought into my life and thank them for their support! These are the projects we did last night- they are fairly simple but I wanted to show a few things that could still be made by Christmas- it is hard to believe it will be here in 2 weeks!
This is the cocoa packet we made using the Letterpress plates. If you click on this little photo you will see it up close. These plates are fun to play with and after some experimenting and other demonstators sharing their tips- I have found that I love the look that I get with them. Stampin' Up! put a video on you tube to show some uses with these plates and I will put the video up so that you can watch it. My favorite technique with these plates is to use Versamark ink to ink up the plate. I then use the crease pad for the Big Shot instead of the acrylic plate, and any cardstock works great. I, of course, didn't tape my paper down first- I am just not too concerned about it being perfect- just me. We then added a couple of rhinestones- love them- and tore a fabric ribbon and the little snowman tag.
The other two projects are pretty easy- we just used embossing folders and die cut box- if you want to know more- please feel free to ask.
I will be starting new clubs in January. They will run for at least 6 months - these are fun nights of stampin' and sharin'. If you are interested in joining a club or starting your own let me know. Clubs are a great way to learn new stampin' techniques, make some fun projects and enjoy the company of other stampers. At least once during the 6 month club you get all the hostess benefits!
