Stampin' Up! Celebrates 25 years with The Best Of Love Stamp set
February 02, 2013
LITTLE LOVE NOTES

Valentine’s Day is an occasion that gives me the opportunity to do something extra-sentimental for my husband. This year I’m telling him what an amazing person I think he is by writing him a bunch of little love notes and hiding them in places where I know he’ll find them.
You may recognize some of the stamps I’ve used. They are oldies, but goodies. If you haven’t heard yet, as part of our 25-year Silver Anniversary celebration, we are selling some of our “Best of” stamps from the past 25 years. Each Best of set will also include a never-before-seen image. And a new Best of stamp set will be released every month in 2013. (This month’s is called the Best of Love Stamp Set!) How awesome is that? All Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, starting in February we’re including a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95 US/$17.95 CA.
Now . . . on to how these cute notes were created!
To make the envelope, cut your paper into 6" x 6" squares. Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, score all sides at 2-3/4" (gray lines). Cut out the triangles where the score lines meet (the grayed-out portion on each side of the paper). Round all four corners.

Cut out doily hearts from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper, then emboss the “Love you much” image onto the hearts using Versamark ink, Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and the Heat Tool. Tie the hearts onto your envelopes (after placing your note inside).

To create the notes, cut a 3-1/2" square from our Watercolor Paper.

Use a Pool Party Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill to watercolor a square in the middle. Next, stamp the “love” image in Versamark ink, then emboss it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.

Some of my envelopes will contain pictures from our past vacations, holidays, and our wedding.

I hope this has inspired you to do something creative for someone special in your life for Valentine’s Day. And if anyone has any fun twists on this idea, be sure to leave me a comment and let me know. It’s not too late to add to my current plan!
