Be Inspired with Stampin' Up!s Concept Artists
April 29, 2013
As you know I am heading to Fiji for a week, I am looking forward to spending some days in the warmth of the sun! We have had a couple of feet of snow the last few weeks! I am going to post a few items over the next few days designed by the concept artists at Stampin' Up! They do amazing work and it is always inspiring!
I love this particular box but the techniques they used are easy and fun!
Melody started by dying the 7/8" Cotton Ribbon using a mixture of Regal Rose Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill and rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer. She filled two other Stampin' Spritzers with Calypso Coral ink/rubbing alcohol and Pink Pirouette ink/rubbing alcohol, then dyed some of the Creped Filter Paper to make the flowers. While all of those pieces were drying, she cut a piece of Watercolor Paper and quickly brushed on borders in Regal Rose and Calypso Coral using an Aqua Painter.
The Thanks Banner was easy t took only a minute to stamp in VersaMark onto Basic Black Cardstock and emboss using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
The Kraft Gift Box was also fun. She cut it in half and made it taller by using the blank side of some Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper to wrap around the four sides. She splattered one side at a time with a mixture of VersaMark Ink Refill that was diluted with rubbing alcohol, then sprinkled on Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
This box is gorgeous and pretty easy to make~ I now think I will be purchasing the Spritzers in bulk.
