A Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Project: Creep It Real

Stampin' Up! Creep it real

One of my favorite times of the year is Halloween. Seeing all the kids dressed up and having fun just makes me smile. The Creep it Real Stamp Set (item 144780) reminds me of all the fun I had as a child, all those Halloweens ago. Bobbing for apples, haunted houses, and so much more. So, it’s no surprise that the child in me couldn’t resist the Treat Tubes (item 144612) along with the stamp set.

My idea began with wanting to create little “potion tubes” representing each little monster in the set. But I didn’t want them to be handed out individually. I wanted to create the idea that you’ve been given a set of potions and now, you must make a choice. So what better way for a mad scientist (or crazy crafter) to display her potions than a test tube holder? Created with Basic Black Cardstock (item 121045) and the 3/4" Circle Punch (item 119873), it fits all four monsters perfectly.

To add to the illusion that the recipient must choose their potion, I stamped the question mark from the Brushwork Alphabet Stamp Set (item 141772) behind the “Trick or Treat” greeting and added a little rhyming sentence with the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set (item 141936). I cut the white oval piece using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (item 145372).

Using the Corrugated Elements (item 144158), I created little illustrated labels for my potions. I stamped each character on Whisper White Cardstock (item 100730), colored them with Many Marvelous Markers, (item 131264) then fussy cut them out.

So the question is . . . which potion would you chose?

Mrs. Witch, who’s a little more contemporary with her “purple is the new black” look.

Or Mr. Skeleton, who blinged up his ribs with the Silver 3/8” Metallic-Edge Ribbon(item 144213)?
